How it wears
Tarocco orange opens it — a Sicilian blood orange, sweeter and rounder than a standard citrus — with grapefruit sharpening the edges and cardamom bringing warmth in early. Bright and confident rather than fresh.

The heart is where this version departs from the old one. Clary sage and geranium hold it aromatic and slightly herbal, with patchouli pulling everything darker underneath. It's drier through the middle than the fragrance it replaced.

Then it lands where the line has always landed: amber and tobacco over cedarwood, warm and smoky, and this time it stays there.

The part that matters
The One has been a benchmark since 2008, and its most persistent criticism was performance — thousands of wearers said the older versions sat too close to the skin and faded early. Composed by Jean-Christophe Hérault, the 2025 was reformulated specifically for projection and longevity, with the house citing up to 16 hours of wear.
